Dr Alfred Abuhamad joins Trice as Medical Advisor
Trice Imaging, Inc. announced today that the industry leader and former president of the American Institute of Ultrasound Medicine, Dr Alfred Abuhamad, is joining Trice Imaging, Inc. as a Medical Advisor.
Trice Imaging, which offers a web-based, medical image routing platform that mobilizes DICOM information from medical imaging equipment to any mobile communication device such as cell phones and tablets within seconds, has revolutionized the way medical images are being converted, shared, and stored by medical professionals and patients across six international markets .
Dr Alfred Abuhamad joins the company in a role as Advisor in Public Affairs and will participate in building the company’s international relationships with regulators, associations and industry leadership. Dr Abuhamad will also play an active role in the growth of the company’s value proposition and technology.

About Dr Alfred Abuhamad
Dr. Abuhamad currently serves as Professor and Chairman for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. He is on the board of the Society of Ultrasound in Medical Education, Vice-Chair of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology Council on Patient Safety in Women’s Health Care and on the Executive Committees of the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Society of Maternal-Fetal Medicine. Dr. Abuhamad is the immediate past-President of the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine and the National Perinatal Quality Forum. He holds 3 patents and has published more than 100 peer reviewed manuscripts, received numerous national awards and has authored three textbooks in fetal echocardiography and office procedures. Dr. Abuhamad established the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology Outreach Committee and led several ultrasound training missions to the developing world.
