Trice Imaging expands into Asia to improve clinical outcomes and patient communication
Launches Tricefy Ultrasound Cloud in seven countries to simply and securely connect medical specialists to patients
San Diego – October 21, 2018 – Trice Imaging, Inc., a cloud-based medical imaging solutions provider, today announced expansion into seven new countries across Asia. Tricefy enables collaboration among physicians through one-click image, video and report sharing, remote clinical collaboration, secure archiving, remote access and reviewing, and integration with Electronic Health Record Systems (EHRs) as well as instant sharing with patients. Tricefy has clinical users in 106 countries across 6 continents.
Access to specialists is a critical obstacle across Asia. In India, the patient to radiologist ratio is 100,000 to one, and 80 percent of the doctors are available to only 28 percent of the population. This means preventable or treatable illness and complications, such as tuberculosis and infant and maternal death, are going unaddressed. Tricefy can dramatically improve access to care by enabling specialists to be involved from thousands of miles away, in near real-time. Offering diagnosis and care where it has not been available before.
“Regions in Asia are disproportionately affected by the shortage of doctors, leaving patients to decide between traveling long distances for help, or foregoing healthcare altogether,” said Bernd Nuber, COO of Trice Imaging. “We are committed to Quality of care for people regardless of who and where they are. By expanding our reach throughout Asia and offer a simple and affordable solution, we can eliminate the distance between patients and the specialists who provide the medical help they require, and improve clinical outcomes throughout the region.”
Medical professionals agree. Dr.Aditya Kusuma from Bunda Hospital Jakarta said, “Tricefy is very suitable as a data communication media. In the past, there was no means to access images and loops for review or for additional consultations. However, now with Tricefy, I can access my images anytime and from everywhere. I really feel this is an excellent technology. I also find it very useful in situations of complex cases. Utilizing the collaboration tool to discuss with different colleagues and I believe this is a game changer “
Tricefy is now available to medical professionals through distributor partnerships and direct sales in Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Japan, Singapore, South Korea and Sri Lanka. Early partners throughout the continent include Genworks in India, YD in Japan, BMI in Sri Lanka, Scanmed in Singapore, Zone Imaging in Australia and New Zealand.
“With technology based on the cloud, Trice delivers a solution for hospitals to reduce process of ultrasound scanning time, and enables them to easily and rapidly share images to doctors, colleagues, and medical centers to discuss further,” said Brata Sena, Managing Director, PT Beyond Medical Indonesia. “ We believe the quality of diagnostics is higher than ever before.”
