Trice Imaging Inc. announces a joint strategic partnership with North American Fetal Therapy Network (NAFTNet)

Del Mar, CA— July 5th, 2016, The North American Fetal Therapy Network (NAFTNet) and Trice Imaging, Inc., a leader in mobile medical imaging, announced a strategic partnership today.

The cooperation between Trice and NAFTNet is centered around enabling its clinical research network consisting of 30 voluntary sites which study the natural history of fetal disease and develop therapeutic prenatal interventions to improve outcomes. Trice Imaging will provide the platform needed to enable the participating centers within the network to centrally aggregate, distribute and collaborate on research data seamlessly via the Tricefy™ cloud platform.

Trice Imaging makes it easy and simple for medical professionals and patients to instantly access medical images from anywhere. The Tricefy™ platform includes the ability to manage images in the cloud, instantly collaborate with colleagues, share images with patients, interface with health record systems, and finally, send encrypted data from imaging systems through mobile devices to any communication device such as mobile phones, tablets and computers within seconds.
“In order to improve research techniques, NAFTNet looked to the cloud to assist with the execution of it’s most recent project centered around analysis of 30 different imaging studies to assess variability in fetal lung volume measurements. The Tricefy platform enables us to easily distribute anonymized data sets to all parties with no complex IT involvement and gather feedback leading us to rapidly move through the research process. Normally, the technical nuances add weeks to months of delay. A platform like Tricefy eliminates complexitiy around sharing of and collaborating on data across the organization” said Dr. Anthony Johnson, Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Pediatric Surgery, Co-Director of the Fetal Center at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital and ISUOG Outreach Chairperson.

Aamir Siddiqi, GM North America and Emerging Markets at Trice also expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, saying “Working with the NAFTNet organization is a rewarding venture that allows us to foster research in the field of fetal therapy at a faster pace with the hope to improve clinical outcomes. Our cloud platform for ultrasound will enable its member sites to centrally collect, review and share results on critical research. Our collaborative effort with NAFTNet will eventually set the benchmark in ultrasound reseach initiatives that are traditionally burdened with manual and cumbersome tasks. We look forward to the future initaitives with our partners at NAFTNet. The collaboration demonstrates clinical and technical expertise that is needed in healthcare to ultimately improve the delivery of care across the globe.”
