Trice Imaging expands into the United Kingdom with partner HealthNetConnections
San Diego, CA (January 8 2018) – Trice Imaging, a leader in cloud-based medical imaging management, announced the formation of a new distribution partnership with HealthNetConnections (HNC) to offer their cloud-based medical imaging management solution, Tricefy®, in the United Kingdom.
Tricefy offers physicians the ability to archive and manage images securely, instantly collaborate with colleagues, and share images with patients. Trice Imaging has appointed HNC as a distributor for the UK and together the partners will connect medical imaging devices from all disciplines to the cloud for fast, secure, and cost-efficient archiving, sharing, and collaboration.
“We are extremely happy to be partnering with Trice Imaging. Their Tricefy platform is a natural progression from the existing suite of technology solutions which we provide. We take great pride in being able to offer the latest technology and have always advocated for open data sharing,” said Jonathan Raife, Managing Director, HNC. “The Tricefy platform allows us to expand further by enabling the benefits of a cloud-based workflow for collaboration and sharing whilst retaining the reporting functionality of our local systems.”
“We believe that the move to cloud storage of images is a big step forward for the UK healthcare market with all the benefits and advantages that this brings in terms of secure archiving, collaboration and sharing of images and HNC is very excited to be at the forefront of this important transformation for the industry,” added Raife.
HNC has 10 years’ experience in clinical informatics, workflow analysis, system integration and reporting systems. Their Next Generation ultrasound products are currently installed in over 150 sites throughout the UK, including London’s leading centres in fetal medicine and women’s health, King’s College NHS Foundation Trust and University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Asa Nordgren, CEO and founder of Trice Imaging said about the partnership, “We can now offer cutting edge, affordable image management solutions to the healthcare market in the UK. Having a partner of the calibre and experience of HNC is a huge step forward in making this happen, and further enables us to expand the reach of our embedded technology in GE Healthcare machines. We look forward to working together to bring new innovations to the UK healthcare arena.”
“The current integration of Tricefy into GE’s Voluson and ViewPoint product lines is an important element in our offering which we will use to provide state of the art and cost-efficient communication and archiving tools for our customers,” said Steve Hussey, GM of Women’s Healthcare, Europe, GE Healthcare.
UK healthcare providers have already begun using the Tricefy platform. One such provider is The Birth Company, led by Dr. Donald Gibb, Director. Gibb remarked, “We have now been using Tricefy for eight months in our private clinic. Easy to use, reliable and amazing. The couple receives the scan and video on their phone before they leave the room. Great for the family, extended family and our business!”
Another Tricefy user, Nick Raine-Fenning, Director of Nurture Fertility, said, “I knew Trice would be something my patients would love from the first minute I saw it. I was not wrong. The seamless and immediate interface between the images and videos on the ultrasound machine and their mobile or other handheld device makes the whole consultation more involved and more rewarding for both the sonographer and patient. It builds confidence and a unique relationship I’ve not seen for a long time.”
“This is just the tip of the iceberg. It has enormous potential as a marketing tool and as a platform for healthcare practitioners to share data for clinical, research and teaching purposes,” added Nick Raine-Fenning.
